On August 22, officers responded to the 9000 block of Acadia Park Drive to investigate the shooting, where they found a 28-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Police said the suspect, 22-year-old Isaiah Smith, stayed on the scene and he was taken into custody.
The victim, who was determined to be a family member of the suspect, was flown to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries, authorities reported.
As law enforcement investigated the incident, a 29-year-old male victim, who went to a local hospital with gunshot wounds, was determined to be involved in an argument with Smith at the home prior to being shot, officials said.
Smith was charged with two counts of malicious wounding and two counts of reckless handling of a firearm, police said.
He had a pending court date and no bond information was available.
