The 25-year-old victim was sitting in a car on Willow Lane near Hylton Avenue in Woodbridge around 9 p.m. on Monday, May 1, when Daviyon Gene Ferguson got in the car and pulled out a gun, demanding the victim's phone, Prince William County police said.

Ferguson tried to send himself money through an electronic transmission but when that didn't work, he threw the phone and an unidentified medication at the victim, police said.

The victim then fled the area and called the police. While investigating the incident, officers identified the suspect as Ferguson and were able to make brief contact with him at his home, they said.

It wasn't long before Ferguson fled from the officers, though.

While inside the home, officers found items believed to be connected to the robbery. No injuries were reported.

Ferguson is wanted on charges of robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, carrying an unlawfully loaded firearm.
