Motorcyclist Killed In Fairfax County Crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a Fairfax County crash overnight, police said on Friday, May 17. The crash happened near Memorial Strett and South Kings Highway in Hybla Valley sometime before 3:30 a.m. An adult male motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene, police said.

22-Year-Old Killed In Fairfax County Crash Was Speeding, Cops Say
Police in Fairfax County have identified the 22-year-old driver killed in a crash on Georgetown Pike this week. Osman Elgamri, of Sterling, was operating a 2017 Lexus IS300 when he left the roadway and struck a tree at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, county police said. Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Great Falls. Elgamri, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. 2 Dead In High-Speed Fauquier County Crash: Police
A 31-year-old driver and his 67-year-old passenger were killed in a Fauquier County crash this week, police said. Michael A.H. Sanson of Orange was heading south on Route 29/James Madison Highway in a Chevrolet Equinox when he ran off the right side of the road and hit a mailbox, then a tree, around 11:05 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, according to Virginia State Police. Fredericksburg Driver Killed By Train In Spotsy Had Disregarded Railroad Crossing Arms: Police
A 55-year-old Fredericksburg man was killed in a collision involving an Amtrak train in Spotsylvania County. Aaron L. Krebs was heading east on Mine Road in a 2013 Chevrolet Impala when he disregarded railroad crossing arms, which were down for an approaching train around 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, Virginia State Police said. Krebs attempted to cross the railroad tracks at Benchmark Road and was struck by a southbound Amtrak train, which remained at the scene. Man Killed By Tractor Trailer Suddenly Ran In Front Of It: Virginia State Police
A 59-year-old man was struck and killed by a tractor trailer in Culpeper County Monday, March 25, Virginia State Police said. Gustavo M. Valdez suddenly ran into the eastbound lanes of Route 3 (Germanna Highway) when he was struck by a tractor trailer just after 4 p.m., according to State Police. The 2019 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driver, 52, of Hopewell, was unable to avoid hitting Valdez, and immediately stopped at the scene, according to police. Valdez died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.

Police ID Wrong-Way Driver Killed In Head-On Virginia Crash With Tesla
An 81-year-old man died after crashing his SUV while driving on the wrong side of the road in Fairfax County, according to police. Fairfax Station resident Sidney Brooks has been identified by investigators as the person who was killed after crashing his Chevy Trailblazer into a Tesla shortly after midnight on Thursday morning.
