Two men are heading to prison for their roles in separate conspiracies to evade tax obligations through bribes to a former DC Office of Tax and Revenue employee.
Andre De Moya, 51, of Temple Hills, and District resident Davoud Jafari, 72, will possibly spend years behind bars for their respective roles in multi-year schemes, federal authorities announced on Thursday.
Specifically, De Moya was sentenced to 30 months in prison, while Jafari was hit with 24 months for their roles in the schemes.

Police ID Two Killed In Southeast DC Midday Shooting Near School (Updated)
New details have been released by the Metropolitan Police Department after a Friday morning shooting that left two dead.
Charles Luster, Jr., 56, and Tyjon Clayton, 20, both of Southeast DC, have been identified as the two people shot shortly after 11:45 a.m. on Friday, July 28 in the 4200 block of 6th Street SE, not far from Hendley Elementary School.
Upon arrival at the shooting, police pronounced one of the victims dead, while the other was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries, according to officials.
