Confederate Memorial To Be Removed From Arlington National Cemetery
A relic of the past is coming down as crews prepare to take down the Confederate Memorial at the Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. According to officials, an environmental assessment was completed over the weekend in advance of the removal of the monument, and now they are ready to move ahead as the country continues to remove Confederate symbolism from military facilities. Moments after it was announced that University of Pennsylvania President Liz Magill was resigning, Board of Trustees Chairman Scott Bok followed suit.
