Death Of Inmate At Arlington County Detention Facility Being Investigated, Police Say An inquiry has been launched after there was a reported in-custody death at the Arlington County Detention Facility. Shortly before 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning, police and fire crews were called to the facility, where 55-year-old David Gerhard, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, was found unresponsive in the medical unit, officials say. Members of the Arlington County police department and sheriff's office attempted to revive Gerhard, but he died after being rushed to the Virginia Hospital Center. Details Released In Fiery Arlington Restaurant Crash (Video) More than a dozen people were hurt including two critically when a rideshare driver crashed into an Arlington restaurant Friday, Aug. 12, authorities said. The vehicle slammed into Ireland’s Four Courts on Wilson Boulevard around 6:45 p.m., police said.
