Police ID Teen Shot, Killed In Midday Southeast DC Shooting

A 16-year-old was shot and killed in broad daylight in Southeast DC on Monday afternoon, police say.

The Metropolitan Police Department identified Jamal Jones, who has no fixed address, as the person who was shot and killed on Monday, Sept. 26.

According to police, officers were called to the 2300 block of Green Street SE shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Monday, where they found Jones suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No information about a possible shooter or motive has been released by the department.
