Homicide Indictments Handed Up To Ex-Warren County Deputies In Deadly Traffic Stop
A pair of former Warren County Sheriff's Office employees have been served with new indictments in connection with a deadly traffic stop in April 2022, Virginia State Police announced.
On Monday, April 8, 2024, a Warren County grand jury handed up one felony count of homicide against Zachary A. Fadely, 31, of Shenandoah County, and one felony count of homicide against Tyler S. Poe, 27, of Warren County, police said.

Virginia Man, 33, Gunned Down In Maryland
A 33-year-old Virginia man was shot and killed in Maryland, and police are looking for those responsible.
Cesar Benitez, of Chantilly, was gunned down on Ager Road in Hyattsville on Thursday, March 28, around 10:25 p.m., police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

A Maryland man has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old man from Washington, DC in Maryland over the weekend, authorities announced.
The Prince George's County Police Department announced on Monday that Largo resident Estep Kyler, Jr., 36, has been arrested in connection to the murder of Andrew Carnell Washington on Saturday, Feb. 10.
According to investigators, shortly after 4 a.m. on Saturday morning, officers from the agency were called to a reported shooting on Iverson Street, where they found Kyler in the 2300 block suffering from a gunshot wound.

A fisherman who died in 2017 has been identified as the killer responsible for three unsolved Virginia murders in the late 1980s, police said.
Alan W. Wilmer Sr., who died at 63 years old in Lancaster County, VA, is believed to have slain David L. Knobling, 20, Robin M. Edwards, 14, and Teresa Lynn Spaw Howell, 29, Virginia State Police announced on Jan. 8.
