Men Arrested For Kidnapping, Crime Spree In Southeast DC, Police Say
Members of the Metropolitan Police Department have arrested two men who were wanted for committing violent crimes in DC over the weekend.
At around 1:20 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, officers from the department were called to the 3000 block of 30th Street SE, where there was a reported kidnapping involving a man who was robbed at knifepoint, assaulted, and held against his will in an area apartment.
During that robbery, police say that Mecca Lee-Bey, 20, and Tumarcus Hawkins, 26, both of Southeast DC, took their victim's car keys and forced them to send money to them electronically before steal…
