Virginia Residents Arrested In Home Invasion Robbery On Jersey Shore: Prosecutor
A pair of Virginia residents has been arrested and charged with conspiring to orchestrate an armed home invasion and robbery in Marlboro Township, authorities said.
Acori Knox, 21, of Hampton, VA, and Lauren McNeil, 24, of Newport News, VA, are each charged with second-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, and second-degree attempted burglary, they said.

Virginia Felon Sentenced For Threatening To Murder, Rape, Torture State, Federal Officials
A two-time convicted felon will spend years in prison after making dozens of threats to murder, rape, torture, and otherwise harm state and federal elected officials, including several members of Congress and a former President.
Newport News resident Steve Cochran, 43, was sentenced to 41 months in prison after repeatedly making threats toward federal officials and their loved ones, according to federal prosecutors.

Victim, Suspect ID'd In Newport News Fatal Shooting That Stemmed From Road Rage
A suspect was arrested for shooting a 51-year-old woman to death in a Newport News parking lot, officials said.
On August 26, at around 1:30 p.m., officers arrived to a parking lot in the 300 Block of Oyster Point Road, where they found Crystal Mittelstadter, 51, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Newport News Police Department.
Mittelstadter was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities reported.
Law enforcement's initial investigation revealed that the incident actually began during a road rage incident between Mittlestadter and the suspect, officials said.
