A bad crash on Interstate 95 had traffic crawling for miles in Prince William County Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 20. The crash happened near Lyman Park at mile marker 148.4. As of 1:15 p.m., traffic was getting by in the shoulder. Footage from the scene shows two cars in the grassy median, possibly overturned. Tractor Trailer Driver Hauling Several Hundred Bags Of Concrete Dies On I-95
The driver of a tractor trailer hauling several hundred bags of concrete suffered a medical episode and died on Interstate 95 in Virginia, authorities said. The vehicle was heading north on Wednesday, Oct. 11 when the driver began suffering a medical emergency, causing him to run off the road in Stafford County near mile post 146, Virginia State Police said. A fresh set of express lanes are making their Interstate 95 debut this week in northern Virginia. The 10-mile stretch of the new express lanes along Interstate 95 in Stafford will open to the public on Friday, Aug. 18. The lanes are the first phase of a two-phase project. A 31-year-old man was struck and killed by a car on Interstate 95 Friday, Oct. 28 in Prince William County, police said. Jamel Terell Tanner, of Dumfries, was in dark clothing and walking in the roadway when he was struck by a 2013 Hyundai Sonata exiting to eastbound Dumfries Road around 9:45 p.m., county police said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the crash scene while Tanner was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
