Threatening Message Found Written At Fairfax City Middle School, Police Say There will be an increased police presence at a Fairfax City middle school on Thursday morning after a threatening message was found inside the building. Shortly before noon on Thursday, Feb. 2, the Fairfax City Police Department issued an alert to the community advising that students at Katherine Johnson Middle School on Jermantown Road will be met with an increased police presence throughout the rest of the day to allow officers to investigate. Missing 81-Year-Old Found After Disappearance (Update): Police Fairfax City police were searching for a missing senior citizen, officials said.Keith Proudfoot, 81, was last seen at 5 p.m. on Sept. 21 in the 3400 block of Andover Drive, according to the Fairfax City Police Department. He was reported to be found on Sept. 22 in the afternoon, police said.

Maryland Motorcyclist Dies In Fatal Virginia Collision: Police A motorcyclist died from his injuries after a crash in Fairfax, police said.Dexter White, 32, of Maryland was riding his motorcycle at around 3:30 p.m. on August 8, when he collided with another vehicle in the intersection of Chain Bridge Road and Eaton Place, according to the Fairfax City Police Department.  Both drivers were transported to a local Fairfax hospital, where White died of his injuries, officials said.
