Alexandria Dog Chokes On Fishhooked Meat Chunk; PETA Pitches In To Find Culprit
A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for planting pieces of sausage embedded with fishhooks around Alexandria. The harrowing discovery was made when resident Sarah Eberhardt was walking her dog Potato near Duke and Ingram streets, around 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 7, officials said. Potato picked up one of the sausage pieces and began gagging on it. Eberhardt called Animal Services, which canvassed the area and found nine sausage pieces with hooks inside them. Teen On Teen Violence: One Dead, One Arrested For Fatal Shooting In Alexandria: Police
One teenager is dead and a second is facing a weapon charge in Alexandria following a fatal late-night shooting on Friday night. Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, officers from the Arlington Police Department were called to the 4600 block of Kenmore Avenue to investigate reports of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, police say that officers discovered one victim, a 17-year-old, non-city resident whose name has not been released, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Actors Wanted For Comedy Shorts Filming In Northern VA
A new YouTube comedy series, 'Bullpen', is looking to hire actors in the Alexandria area. The four-minute comedy shorts involve four pitchers and a coach in a bullpen, according to Backstage.com. Producers Chris Carvalho and Chris Plaushin, who recently created another film that has won multiple awards, are seeking actors between the ages of 18-60, the website said. All actors will receive around $100 to $200 a day and must have some background in comedy work, Backstage.com detailed.
