Police ID Man Who Died Days After Being Shot In Southeast DC Intersection
A 23-year-old man died at an area hospital after being one of the latest victims of gun violence in Washington, DC, authorities announced. Brandon Gant was shot shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at the intersection of 18th Street and Minnesota Avenue SE, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Police say that on the night of the shooting, officers responded to reports of gunshots ringing out, following by a car crashing. DC Man Who Gunned Down Father In Front Of Two Children Gets 13 Years In Prison
The Washington, DC man who murdered a father in front of his two young children in broad daylight last year will spend years behind bars, federal authorities announced. Jarell Harris, 28, was sentenced to 13 years in prison after fatally shooting 42-year-old Sedrick Miller in the 2300 block of 18th Street in Northwest Washington last March. According to prosecutors, Harris waived his preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty in September last year to voluntary manslaughter while armed after gunning down Miller, who was walking with his two minor children and a second adult when he was killed.…

DC Police Seek 3 Separate Missing Teenage Girls
Washington D.C. Police are asking for the community's help in locating three 14-year-old girls who went missing earlier this week. Jestiny Muhammed was last seen around 1 p.m. July 18, in the 4600 block of 6th Street, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. She is being described as a black female, 5'6 and 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, officials said. Police said Muhammed was last seen wearing a multi-colored jacket, green and white shorts, and green and white sneakers.
