Slapping Suspect: Stafford Police Seek Elderly Woman Who Hit Officer, Stole Walmart Items

Stafford County law enforcement seeks to identify the suspect who got violent as she stole items from a Walmart, officials said.

On August 27, at around 3 p.m., a woman was acting suspicious at a self-checkout station in the Walmart  located at 125 Washington Square Plaza, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

She was confronted by a loss prevention officer, who she slapped across the face before leaving the store with the unpaid items, police reported.

The suspect left the scene in a black BMW, authorities said.

She was described as an elderly, white, heavyset woman with red hair, law enforcement said.
