At around 12:45 a.m. on September 15, police arrived at the scene in the 4000 block of 1st Street, where they found 37-year-old Paris Odemns with gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Despite all life-saving efforts, Odemns died at a local hospital, authorities reported.
Odemns was an employee of D.C. public schools, according to his Facebook page.
After a length investigation, Malik Seltzer, 31, was arrested for first degree murder while armed, police said.
