On July 29 at around 9 p.m., officers arrived in the 4800 block of Alabama Avenue, where they found a male and female victim suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said both individuals were taken to a nearby hospital and the male victim, 35-year-old Patrick Phillips, succumbed to his injuries.
The vehicle of interest that is allegedly connected to the incident is a burgundy 2005 GMC Yukon Denali with Maryland tags A279711, officials said.
Anyone with information is eligible for a $25,000 reward and should contact police at 202-727-9099.
