The Connecticut family had just left the museum Sunday, July 10 when their 3-year-old boy realized, heartbroken, his beloved Mocha was not by his side, as first reported by WUSA-9.
The family believes Mocha was left in the zoo's gift shop sometime in the evening, according to the aunt's Facebook page.
A $100 reward is up for grabs for anyone that can reunite the monkey with his little owner. If you find the stuffed monkey, contact the National Zoo at 202-633-2614.
