Case Of Boy's Ocean City Hit-Run Death Cracked
Ten months after a 14-year-old boy was struck and killed in Ocean City, a defendant has been charged. Tyler Mailloux, 22, of Berlin, is facing more than a dozen charges out of Worcester County in the July 2022 hit-and-run death of Gavin Knupp on Grays Corner Road while walking to his sister's car. Gavin was pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver, later identified as Mailloux, did not stop and also did not report the incident, authorities said. Maryland Police Chief, Elderly Driver Injured In Wreck: Authorities
The Princess Anne police chief and a 75-year-old Ocean City man were recovering at hospitals after a crash Thursday morning in Worcester County, June 16. The wreck happed at 10 a.m. along Route 90 in Berlin. Chief Robert Wink was driving east in his unmarked patrol car when a Lexus ES heading west tried to make a U-turn ahead of him, a news release said.
