According to the VDOT site, traffic was being diverted to Patrick Henry Drive as of 9:30 a.m. The roadway was closed at Castle and Thorne roads in Seven Corners. UPDATE: Utility Problem. VA-7 WB at Thorne Road. Fairfax County, VA. All travel lanes remain blocked. Traffic reportedly diverted to Patrick Henry Drive. Delays remain heavier than usual in area. Rapist Dragged Woman To Wooded Area, Stood Over Her As She Called For Help In VA: Police Authorities in Fairfax County have released the composite sketch of a rape suspect who they say dragged a woman to a wooded area to sexually assault her last weekend. The suspect, depicted in a composite sketch above, stood over the woman, who was on the ground in a state of undress around 2:35 a.m. Sunday, June 11, on the 5900 block of Seminary Road in Falls Church, county police said.  The witness heard a disturbance in the area and called police. Police ID Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Infiniti Outside Crosswalk In Bailey's Crossroads A woman who was struck and killed by an SUV in Bailey's Crossroads has been identified by authorities. Elise Ballard, 40, was crossing the street — outside of the crosswalk — at Leesburg Pike near Carlin Springs Road when she was hit by a westbound 2017 Infiniti QX60 around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, Fairfax County police said the day after the crash.
