A man who stabbed his ex to death in Prince George's County was apprehended in Virginia and will face multiple murder charges, authorities announced. A Virginia man has been convicted of strangling his mother to death in Maryland after an argument, the Charles County State's Attorney's Office announced. Norfolk resident Bandon Kiah Slade, 29, was found guilty following a six-day trial of murder, assault and other offenses in connection to the death of his mother, Lenora Coates-Slade, whose body was found stabbed to death with a plastic bag wrapped around her head in the family's garage three years ago. Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old tech CEO in Baltimore. Authorities say Pava LaPere died of blunt force trauma in an apartment on the 300 block of West Franklin Street, police in Baltimore said. A woman was killed by a homeless man near a Washington, DC hotel overnight, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
