Deputy J.W. McAlister predicted a suspect vehicle being pursued out of King George would be heading towards the Kings Highway and Little Street intersection as it made its way toward Stafford on Thursday afternoon, July 13 (scroll for video).

He can be seen standing on the side of the roadway, spike strip in hand. In a matter of moments, the speeding vehicle heads down the exact route Deputy McAlister predicted, putting him in perfect position.

McAlister deployed his stinger and was successful in puncturing the suspect’s vehicle tire. The suspect vehicle continued to Leonard Road where that tire gave out, essentially bringing the pursuit to a stop. The King George County Sheriff’s Office took custody of the driver and will be filing multiple charges for her.

Thank you to Deputy McAlister for your quick thinking and motivation to end a pursuit. Your actions played a huge role in getting the suspect in custody.
