I-81 Crash New Market Shenandoah A crash on I-81 had the southbound lanes delayed for miles Sunday evening, May 5. The VDOT site said the south right land and shoulder were closed at mile marker 264 in New Market, Shenandoah County as of 5:40 p.m. Update: Crash: SB on I-81 at MM264.0 (1.2mi south of US-211 Exit264) in Shenandoah Co. 1 SB travel lane closed. Delay 2 mi. 4:56PM — 511 Virginia (@511statewideva) May 5, 2024 Emergency response vehicles were at the scene. Traffic backups are approximately 2.5 miles.
