An indictment of 16 members of a violent mid-Atlantic crime ring has been unsealed and the federal agencies are naming names. Of the 16, eight of the alleged crime ring members were arrested in the morning on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2023, police in Fairfax County, Virginia announced later that day. Two additional teenagers have been charged in a double homicide that police say was a drug-related robbery earlier this summer. A 17-year-old from Falls Church and an 18-year-old from Vienna, who was a 17-year-old at the time of the incident that killed Jonas Skinner and Braden Deahl, were arrested by Fairfax County police. The 17-year-old was charged with second-degree murder, felony murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and various weapons offenses. Police have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with a drug-related robbery that left two people dead on Memorial Day in Fairfax County, police said.
