Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Girl Hospitalized After Incident Involving Mini School Bus In Roosevelt A 10-year-old girl was hospitalized after she lost her balance while riding a bicycle and struck the side of a mini-school bus. The incident happened around 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, in Roosevelt. The bus, which was driven by a 44-year-old woman, was traveling eastbound on West Greenwich Avenue. Driver Killed After SUV Crashes Into House In Baldwin A driver was killed after an SUV crashed into a house on Long Island overnight. It happened just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15 in Baldwin. Nassau County Police said a 49-year-old man was driving a 2013 Hyundai Tucson eastbound on Grand Terrace Avenue when his vehicle left the roadway.  The SUV struck a fence and then a home at 917 Grand Terrace Ave., causing exterior damage. Fatal Crash: 31-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Kinderhook A 31-year-old motorist was killed after crashing into a tree. The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, in Columbia County. An investigation determined that a motorcycle driven by Schenectady County resident Randall D. Collins, age 31, of the town of Glenville, was traveling east on Route 28 in the town of Kinderhook when he went off the south shoulder, through a field and struck a tree, according to New York State Police. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. Niverville Fire and Greenport Rescue assisted state police. The investigation is ongoing.
