Motorcyclist Struck By Car In Edgewater A motorcyclist was struck by a vehicle Friday afternoon, Sept. 27 in Edgewater. The crash happened at 1064 River Road around 4:45 p.m., and sent the motorcyclist to the hospital, sources tell Daily Voice. Daily Voice has reached out to local police for details. Arrest Made In Hit-Run Crash That Left Pedestrian, 25, Critical In Toms River: Police A 60-year-old Toms River man has been charged in connection with a crash that left a 25-year-old man critical earlier this week. Stacy Jordan was heading north on Massachusetts Avenue when it struck the Toms River pedestrian around 9:40 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, and fled the scene, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Man, 33, Killed By Car Trying To Cross Route 3 In East Rutherford, Police Say A 33-year-old man was struck and killed by a car on Route 3 Thursday night, Sept. 26, police said. Officers were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway at midnight where the pedestrian had been struck by a 2004 Toyota Camry while trying to cross the highway, ERPD Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.

Preteen Sexually Assaulted By Lodi Man, 33, Prosecutor Says A 33-year-old Bergen County man has been arrested on child sex assault charges, authorities said. Junior Reyes-Tejada, of Lodi, is accused of sexually assaulting a child under 13 years old in Lodi, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said. The BCPO's Special Victims Unit was contacted on Wednesday, Sept. 25 regarding the accusations, Musella said. Water Main Break Floods Portion Of Route 17 In Paramus A water main break flooded a portion of Route 17 in Paramus on Friday, Sept. 27 around noon. Veolia Water responded to the scene to mitigate the leak, and the right lane of Route 17 South will be closed until further notice, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said. As a result, the Chipotle and the Ashley Furniture complex have been temporarily closed. Water has been flowing into the driveway and undermining parts of the highway, however, Veolia has shut the water, the chief said. A Brooklyn, NY duo who used a screwdriver to break into a pickup truck in the Restaurant Depot parking lot were arrested leaving the lot by an arriving officer on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
