The National Weather Service has confirmed that at least two tornados touched ground in Virginia as they continue to probe the damage done by Tropical Storm Debby. Storms rolled through the region late last week, wreaking havoc in parts of the DMV region, including several areas in Virginia. The National Weather Service at State College has confirmed a tornado touched in Harrisburg and traveled through the neighboring townships during Tropical Storm Debby on Friday, Aug. 9. The EF1 had estimated peak winds of 105 miles, it was 300 yards at its widest, and was on the ground for about 3 1/2 miles, according to the NWS release.
