Man, 29, Shoots Himself In Head, Dies At Secaucus' Long Shot Gun Range: Police
A 29-year-old New York man died after he shot himself in the head at a New Jersey gun range last week, authorities tell Daily Voice.
The Yonkers man, who was not identified, was at the privately owned Long Shot gun range at 375 County Avenue in Secaucus on Friday, Sept. 5 when he shot at approximately 4:25 p.m., Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, the chief said.
Miller said only that the incident was not believed to have been accidental in nature.

A man seen lying in a Westchester road was fatally struck by a car that did not stop afterwards, police said.
The incident happened on Wednesday night, Aug. 20, at around 8:30 p.m. in the area of 1016 Warburton Ave. in Yonkers, where a car struck an adult man lying in the road, Yonkers Police Lt. Robert Spink said on Thursday, Aug. 21.
According to Spink, two witnesses reported that they believed it may have been a successful suicide attempt based on the victim's statements and actions.
