Stamford Police Promote Pair Two longtime Stamford police officers were promoted by Chief Jon Fontneau during a ceremony on Wednesday, according to the Stamford Police Department. Lt. Diedrich Hohn, who has been a police officer for 22 years, was promoted to captain and will take over patrol units in the downtown area of town, said Capt. Richard Conklin.
