The accident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 13, around 5:55 p.m. on Jerusalem Avenue near Nelson Avenue in Hicksville, according to Nassau County police. Police reported that a 64-year-old man driving a 2005 Nissan pickup truck southbound on Jerusalem Avenue hit a 59-year-old man crossing the road. The pedestrian was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. The driver remained at the scene, and no additional injuries were reported.

Two Pedestrians Struck, Seriously Injured In Palisades Park Two pedestrians were hospitalized with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Palisades Park on Sunday, Sept. 8, authorities said. The two were crossing the street at West Edsall Boulevard and Highland Avenue when they were hit by a car just before 8 p.m., local police said. Both were rushed to the hospital and the county prosecutor's office is investigating, police said.
