Norwalk Barber Gets Shoutout From 'Today' Show Host, Westport's Craig Melvin For 'Fresh' Look
Connecticut's Craig Melvin said he wanted to look his best for his new position on the "TODAY" show, so he turned to the one man he knew he could trust for the job — DJ Fresh.
Melvin, who lives in Westport with his wife, sports broadcaster Lindsay Czarniak, and their two children, gave the Norwalk barber a shoutout on Friday, Jan. 10, during an exchange with weatherman Al Roker.

Barricaded Man Says He'll Burn Down Norwalk Home With Person Inside To 'Complete Mission': Cops
An intoxicated Connecticut man barricaded himself inside a home in Norwalk and threatened to burn it down with someone inside because he had to "complete a mission," authorities said.
Nabeel Osama Abdallah, 35, of Norwalk, was charged with disorderly conduct, first-degree threatening, interfering with an officer, and resisting arrest, police said.
Authorities were called to a home on Adams Avenue just after 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, after Abdallah barricaded himself inside and refused to come out, claiming he had a "mission" to complete, Norwalk police said.

A man accused of a violent home invasion in which he allegedly choked a woman in bed with her child has been arrested in New York, authorities announced.
Christian Chavez-Sosa, 31, of Norwalk, was arrested Monday, Dec. 16, in Gloversville, New York. He was extradited to Norwalk Friday to face charges of home invasion, strangulation, three violations of a protective order, and burglary in the first degree, Fairfield County authorities said.

Norwalk Teen Attacked Friend At His Home, Stole $3K: Police
A 19-year-old Connecticut man is accused of robbing his friend of $3,000 while visiting the friend's home earlier this week, authorities said.
Boston Leger, 19, of Norwalk, was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree assault, police said.
A friend of Leger's said the teen came to his home on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and a fight broke out, Norwalk police said. The man said Leger stole $3,000 in cash and left.
Detectives arrested Leger at his home without incident. He was being held on a $30,000 bond, authorities said.
Leger is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 15.
