Nutley's wrestling community is mourning the loss of Marc DellaVolpe, who is being widely remembered as one of the most passionate, supportive, and knowledgeable parents on the sidelines. DellaVolpe, 47, of Nutley, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Oct. 17. Gillian Tones of North Apollo was identified as the Pennsylvania woman who drowned at Glacier National Park in Montana over the weekend. She was 26. Nations Parks Service officials said Tones slipped and fell into the water above St. Mary Falls on Sunday afternoon, June 23. Marty Reed, a beloved institution in youth sports in Bayonne, died on Saturday, June 15, at the age of 76, according to his obituary on the Sweeney Funeral Home website. A convicted felon has died following an officer-involved shooting in Lewistown, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Ridge Ryen Rhodes, 29 of Lewistown, is accused of firing "several shots" when local police responded to the area of the 100 block of West Fourth Street and fired back around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the PSP Troop G release.
