Mall Security Guard On Long Island Accused Of Committing Sex Act While On Duty
A security guard at a Long Island mall has been accused of committing a sex act while on duty.
Jose Irizarry, age 33, of Holbrook, was working as a security officer on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, when he approached a 24-year-old woman who he suspected of shoplifting. Irizarry, under the guise of escorting the woman out of the mall, Suffolk County Police said.
Irizarry then brought her into an employees-only corridor and then into a storage room, where he forced the victim to perform a sex act on him in exchange for her being allowed to leave the mall, according to police.

Large crowds of fighting teens at the Westfield Trumbull Mall caused police to call in reinforcements after the juveniles kept coming back inside after being expelled.
The incident began around 5:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 14, when police responded to the mall for reports of several large fights involving knives, said Lt. Brian Weir, of the Trumbull Police.

Mall Gunman Who Fired Shots While Fixing His Pants Arrested After Lengthy Investigation
Police have identified the man accused of accidentally firing shots in the food court area of the Arundel Mills Mall while adjusting his pants, authorities say.
Witnesses say the suspect, identified as Brandon Maurice Carroll, 26, appeared to have been adjusting his pants when the firearm he had been concealing went off into the floor of the food court area of the mall around 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Carroll fled with other mall patrons after firing the gun. Carroll was identified on Friday, Nov. 11, and was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 16.
