For decades, the Bendix Diner has been a roadside landmark on Route 17 in Hasbrouck Heights, serving up comfort food and nostalgia to locals and travelers alike. Wayne A. Kellogg, 93, formerly of Hannibal passed away December 15, 2024, after a long illness at Seneca Hill Manor after residing at The Gardens in Oswego. New York State colleges and universities will require COVID-19 vaccinations for students planning to take part in in-person classes in the fall, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced. During a COVID-19 briefing in Manhattan on Monday, May 10, Cuomo issued a vaccine mandate stating that all CUNY and SUNY students will need to be vaccinated before the fall as the state pushes to have all eligible adults take the vaccine. Upper Saddle River's Jase Barrack died of injuries sustained in an off-campus incident at Ithaca College, school officials said.
