A person was bitten by a rabid fox while helping walk a dog in Gloucester Township, officials said. A Gloucester resident and their family member walked the dog when they encountered the fox on Friday, Nov. 8, the Camden County Health Department said in a news release. Summit Police are asking dog owners to be on high alert after a dog was bitten by a coyote and another dog was bitten by a likely rabid fox. A dog was bitten by a coyote near Dale Drive on Sunday, Oct. 15, police said. Following the attack, the coyote ran away into a wooded area. Animal control has been notified.
