Cat Rescued From Burning Home In Wood-Ridge
Firefighters and police officers saved a cat from a burning home Wednesday evening, Oct. 9 in Bergen County. Responders made entry to the home at 198 Main Ave. in Wood-Ridge around 6 p.m., where they found the animal, sources tell Daily Voice Companies from Wood-Ridge, Lodi, Moonachie and Hasbrouck Heights responded. The cause wasn't immediately known. Sources say the house was destroyed. No further information was provided.

3-Vehicle Crash With School Bus Sends Jeep Driver To Hospital In Wood-Ridge
One person was hospitalized in a three-vehicle crash with a school bus carrying people with special needs on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 9 in Bergen County, Daily Voice has learned. The school bus was carrying a group of both children and adults with special needs when it collided with a Jeep and one other vehicle on Hackensack Street at North Avenue in Wood-Ridge, sources said. The bus was evacuated and no injuries were reported. The Jeep driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation Shuts Cedar Knolls Neighborhood
An investigation and large police presence closed a Morris County neighborhood Wednesday evening, Oct. 9. Hanover police said only that their department and other law enforcement agencies were conducting an investigation near Parker Avenue in Cedar Knolls. Residents were urged to avoid the area.

Two Teen ATV Riders Airlifted After Crossing Center Line In West Milford Crash: Police
Two teenagers were airlifted with serious injuries in a North Jersey crash with an SUV on Tuesday, Oct. 8, police said. The 14-year-old and 15-year-old boys were in a Polaris Sportsman 850 heading north on Highlander Drive in West Milford, when they crossed the center line into the opposite lane of travel around 4 p.m., Lt. One of New Jersey's top judges has been suspended without pay over his TikTok accounts. A formal complaint by the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct was filed last year against Bergen County Superior Court Judge Gary N. Wilcox. The complaint cites Wilcox's 40 since-deleted videos posted under the pseudonym "Sal Tortorella" from April 2021 to March 2023.
