The 16-year-old accused of fatally stabbing a Fairfield Prep student-athlete is free after posting a $2 million bond.
Raul “Lito” Valle, of Milford, posted the bond on Monday, May 23, according to the Milford Superior Court Clerk.
Valle is charged with the stabbing murder in Shelton of James "Jimmy" McGrath, a football and lacrosse player at Fairfield College Preparatory School, on Saturday, May 14 during a fight in front of a residence and injuring three others, authorities said.

A 17-year-old who was stabbed to death in front of a Connecticut home was a talented football and lacrosse player.
Fairfield County resident James "Jimmy" McGrath, of Shelton, is being remembered as a "beloved" student-athlete at Fairfield College Preparatory School who was a disciplined, determined, and aggressive multi-sport athlete.

ID Released For Man Found Dead At Fairfield Prep
A missing man whose body was discovered in the parking lot of Fairfield Prep has been identified.
The man, Earl Ingram of Wormwood Road in Fairfield, was found around 6:56 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 5, by the worker in the parking area of Fairfield University and Fairfield Prep, said Fairfield Police Lt. Antonio Granata.
First responders arrived on the scene and pronounced the 83-year-old man dead, who authorities say had dementia, at around 7:07 a.m., Granata said.

A former principal in Ridgefield and Norwalk has died.
Douglas John Smith, of Danbury, died Sunday, June 2 at age 87. He was the husband of Patricia (Gainer) Smith.
A resident of Danbury for the past 19 years, Smith was born in Norwalk on March 14, 1932, son of the late Capt. John and Amy (Selleck) Smith.
He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep, class of 1950, Fairfield University, 1954 and University of Bridgeport, 6th-year degree.
