Jackpot: $284K Lottery Ticket Purchased At South Amboy Gas Station
A lottery ticket worth more than a quarter of a million dollars was sold at a Middlesex County gas station, officials said.
The Jersey Cash 5 ticket was purchased at the Exxon gas station on Route 35 and Route 9 North in South Amboy, the New Jersey Lottery said in a news release on Friday, Oct. 11. The $284,169 winner was in the drawing on Thursday, Oct. 10.
The winning numbers were 3, 4, 5, 24, and 27. The XTRA number was 4 and the Bullseye number was 3.

Overdosing BMW Driver, 60, Revived With Narcan After Crashing In Ridgewood, Police Say
Police revived an overdosing 60-year-old Rockland County man who crashed his BMW in Bergen County early Saturday, June 22.
Ridgewood police were called to the Exxon station at 490 Route 17 South just before 7:45 a.m., where the BMW driver from Nanuet was found unconscious after crashing in a handicapped parking spot, Ridgewood Police Lt. John Chuck said.

One carjacker was taken into custody and a second was able to escape after going after a patron at an Anne Arundel County gas station, according to police.
Laketa Terrell Johnson, 44, who has no fixed address, is facing charges following a skirmish that played out at Exxon in Linthicum, though his cohort was able to escape from responding officers.

Man Nabbed For Burglary, Injuring Gas Station Employee On Long Island: Police
A Long Island man was arrested after he broke into a gas station, injuring an employee in the process, police said.
It happened on Monday, Oct. 9 in Lakeview, according to Nassau County Police.
At approximately 2:40 a.m., Oceanside resident John Masone, age 55, walked up to the Exxon gas station located at 820 Hempstead Avenue and tried to get inside.
An employee at the gas station told Masone that they were closed. However, this did not stop him.
