Weymouth Teen Dies Days After Braintree Crash Caused By Drunk Driver, Police Say
An 18-year-old woman has died following a head-on crash in Braintree that police say involved a drunk driver earlier this month, authorities said.
Alexia "Lexi" Nixon, of Weymouth, succumbed to her injuries Tuesday night, Dec. 10, at Boston Medical Center, days after the Dec. 1. collision near 655 Union Street, the Norfolk District Attorney's Office said.
The crash, which occurred around 12:50 a.m. between an SUV and pick-up truck, also left the SUV's 18-year-old driver and another passenger with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Police say an intoxicated Connecticut driver started a three-car, chain-reaction crash on I-91 in Hartford County that killed a 26-year-old woman and sent others to the hospital.
Jada Marie Upshaw, of Bloomfield in Hartford County, was killed around 8:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, in Rocky Hill, Connecticut State Police said.
