Human Remains Found Near Delaware River In Philly: Report Bones belonging to an unidentified adult were found near the Delaware River in Philadelphia on Sunday, Nov. 3, police said. A witness stated that she was at Penn Treaty Park when she found two bones that appeared to be human shin bones at 5:02 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Police Department. The bones were located in a grassy, rocky area along the park’s waterline, police said. The Medical Examiner’s Office collected the bones for further investigation. At about 5 p.m., New Jersey State Police troopers responded to a report of a personal watercraft stuck on a sandbar near Hawk Island in Delanco Township, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron, a NJSP spokesman. The craft was dislodged from the sandbar and escorted to a marina, Lebron said.
