Gunfight Kills Man, 25, Outside Virginia Apartment Complex
A 25-year-old man died in a gunfight outside of a Prince William County apartment complex over the weekend, authorities said.
Michael Eugene Hawkins III, of Woodbridge, and another man were arguing outside of the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Court in Woodbridge around 2:45 p.m. Sunday, May 21, PWC police said.
The argument turned violent when one person fired a gun, and the other fired back, police said. Hawkins was struck in the lower body and the suspect fled the scene, authorities said.
Officers arrived on scene and provided first aid to the victim until fire and rescue personnel arrived.…
Accused Quincy Serial Rapist Had Charge Dropped In 2003: Report
A news report said that police in 2003 arrested a Quincy man accused of multiple violent rapes, but prosecutors dropped the charges.
Ivan Cheung, 42, is charged with four counts of rape — two against children — that allegedly happened in 2003, 2005, and 2006, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. Investigators arrested Cheung on Monday, Sept. 12. He did not appear at his initial hearing on Tuesday, Sept. 13, but his attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, the prosecutor said.

Woman, 65, Sexually Assaulted, Strangled To Death In Lancaster County Home, Police Say
A woman found dead at her home in Lancaster County was sexually assaulted prior to being strangled, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's office.
Nora Sanchez, 65, of the 300 block of East Main Street in New Holland was found dead in her home on Sept. 1 around 10 a.m., as Daily Voice reported at the time.
Police were originally called to the scene for a welfare check.
Sanchez died by strangulation with evidence of sexual assault, according to the Lancaster County coroner.
