A significant brush fire broke out at the Liberty Road Compost site, prompting a swift response from Upper Saucon police and firefighters on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at 1:27 p.m., according to officials.
Arriving officers found the blaze spreading from the east side of the facility toward the adjacent wood line. For two days, numerous Hudson Valley fire departments battled a stubborn brush fire atop Nordkop Mountain.
