Powerball Ticket Worth $50K Sold At Jersey Shore Gas Station
A winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Monmouth County, officials said.
The New Jersey Lottery said the ticket was purchased at the BP gas station on Route 36 in West Long Branch. The ticket matched four numbers and the Powerball in the drawing on Monday, Jan. 29
The winning numbers were 39, 41, 43, 49, and 64. The Powerball was 4.
No one matched all six numbers to win the estimated jackpot of $175 million. Tickets worth $1 million were sold in California, South Carolina, and Texas.

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer after committing an armed robbery.
The incident took place in Islandia and Bohemia on Thursday, Sept. 29.
According to Suffolk County Police, Joshua Basile entered Quick Chek Gas Station, located at 3540 Veterans Memorial Highway in Bohemia, and stole assorted food, then fled in a 2022 Ford Explorer, at 1:35 a.m.

Fairfax County police believe the same burglars have struck in the area, at least four times in the past few months, officials said.
Most recently, early on Sept. 22, a few men went to the BP gas station, located at 6540 Edsall Road, and tried to use a crowbar to force their way into the station, according to Fairfax County Police Department.
They then ventured to Dollar Power located at 7012 Commerce Street, to steal the ATM machine there, but were unable to move it, police said.

A Long Island duo has been nabbed for allegedly robbing a BP gas station at gunpoint.
The incident took place around in Merrick around 7:10 p.m., Tuesday, July 5 at the station located at 1185 Merrick Ave.
According to detectives, Jerald Gadsden, age 31, and Heleena Velazquez-Krupp, age 28, both of North Woodmere, entered the gas station and approached a 62-year-old male employee and displayed a pistol demanding money.

Four Long Island store clerks have been accused of selling e-liquid nicotine to minors.
In response to community complaints, Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation Monday, June 6 between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. into the sale of e-liquid nicotine to minors during which numerous businesses were checked for compliance.
