A juvenile was found with a loaded handgun in central Pennsylvania on Tuesday, May 24, police say. The 16-year-old was spotted with the gun in the waistband of his pants in the 100 block of North 6th Street around 8 p.m., according to a release by the Columbia Borough police department. Lower Paxton Township police were called to a report of a bomb threat at the Sheetz located at 2300 Colonial Road at the intersection with Linglestown Road around 6 p.m., the department said in a release on Monday. A central Pennsylvania high school student has been arrested and their school has closed after a threat was made on Tuesday, according to a release by state police. The juvenile was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and harassment for a social media threat made against Gettysburg High School in Adams County, according to police. The school closed and classes were taught remotely on Tuesday, according to the release. There is no threat to the public, students or faculty, according to police. A 15-year-old has been hospitalized following a shooting between a suspect and police in central Pennsylvania, according to police. York City police were called into serving and spotted a shooting in progress in the 800 block of East King Street in York on Thursday around 8:20 a.m. The officer intervened, returning fire that was directed towards one of the shooters who subsequently fled the scene, police said in a statement. Boy Hospitalized After Drive-By Shooting In Harrisburg
A boy was shot walking down a Harrisburg Street on Sunday afternoon. The Harrisburg Police were called to a report of a dark colored car that drove along the 1800 block of Forster Street shooting at a male juvenile around 4:30 p.m. Upon arrival officers learned the boy had been transported to a local hospital and was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. West Earl PD: Man Accidentally Shoots Himself In Presence Of Child,Pot Plant, 5 Guns Seized
A man who accidentally shot himself in the hand in the presence of a juvenile was arrested after police found five firearms and a marijuana plant in his West Earl Township home, authorities said. Police were dispatched to the Marlene Way on reports of a shooting where they found 32-year-old Andrew Hogberg, with a gunshot wound in his hand around 7:25 p.m. March 29, West Earl police said.
