Andrew Mitchell Killed In Lower Nazareth Crash: Coroner
The Northampton County Coroner's Office has named the driver in a deadly crash in Lower Nazareth on Tuesday evening, Jan. 30. Andrew D. Mitchell, 31, of Bethlehem, died from blunt force injuries to the torso at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus, officials said. His manner of death was ruled accidental. The crash happened near Newburg Road and West Mayfield Circle, according to the Coroner's Office. WFMZ reported that a woman and child in a different car suffered minor injuries.

Decades after she was found dead in a Lehigh Valley cornfield, state troopers continue their search for Caralee LaLaine Pensyl's killer. A third-alarm fire ravaged a Lehigh Valley apartment building that was under construction, authorities said. The fire broke out at a three-story building on the 3100 block of Charlotte Avenue in Palmer Township on Monday afternoon. The Palmer Municipal Fire Department worked with several local crews to locate and douse the blaze, which was upgraded to a third alarm from a first alarm, authorities said. A dump truck driver had to be removed by first responders but was uninjured after crashing head-on into a train on the Upper and Lower Nazareth line Thursday afternoon, authorities said. RECOGNIZE THEM? Police in Bethlehem are seeking the public’s help identifying two men they say stole a wallet from a ShopRite customer and fraudulently used the credit cards inside. The men — pictured above — stole a wallet from a customer’s purse at ShopRite on Freemansburg Avenue on Jan. 11 around 1 p.m., Bethlehem Township police said. Police in Northampton County are seeking the public’s help identifying a masked man who they say stole a laptop and assaulted an employee at Walmart last weekend. The man pictured above is accused of stealing the merchandise and assaulting an employee as he fled from Walmart on Easton-Nazareth Highway in Lower Nazareth Nov. 29, Colonial Regional Police said.
