A police incident closed a street and put two schools in Columbia Borough into lockdowns on Friday, police announced. The incident began when police attempted to issue a warrant for 40-year-old Charles Nathan Harris for a warrant related to a weapons violation, the police explained on the evening of Jan. 5. Court records show the weapons offense happened in Mount Joy Borough on Jan. 18, 2023, and he forfeited his bail on Dec. 29, 2023. A 22-year-old woman fell asleep at the wheel before striking an Amish horse-and-buggy and fleeing, Pennsylvania State Police detailed in court documents obtained by Daily Voice. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined Mars Wrigley after two contractors fell into a vat of chocolate at the M&M/Mars factory, authorities say. The settlement of a $15,000 fine was due for payment on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023, according to OSHA.
