Emergency personnel shut down Route 1 in Bensalem for nearly an hour as they raced to rescue a worker who fell 40 feet from an overpass early Thursday morning. It happened at about 3:45 a.m. April 13, Bensalem Fire Rescue said in a release. Multiple crews were dispatched to the bridge near Bristol Road to mount a technical rescue, authorities said. The Bucks County fire that sent one first responder to the hospital was likely set intentionally by an arsonist, according to authorities. Firefighters rushed to the scene of a two-alarm blaze at the EBooks Web office building at 1388 Bridgewater Road just after 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. Delivery Driver Hospitalized After Crash With Firetruck In Bensalem: Officials
A delivery driver was injured when their van crashed head-on into a firetruck in Bensalem Thursday, June 2, authorities said. The wreck happened on Street Road and Knights Roads around 11 a.m., Bensalem Fire Rescue said. Despite their injuries, the firefighters were able to extricate the driver and extinguish a fire, officials said. Two firefighters and the van driver were taken by EMS to a local hospital. Police were being recognized in Bensalem for their unconventional assistance in a fire rescue Wednesday evening. Crews responded to a working fire call at the Bucks County Meadows Apartments on Knights Road just after 5 p.m., according to Bensalem Fire Rescue. A car accident temporarily closed lanes on Pennsylvania Route 1 in Bensalem Thursday afternoon, authorities said. Crews initially responded to the scene on reports of entrapment but confirmed the driver was not trapped, according to Bensalem Fire Rescue. They medically treated the driver at the scene. Fire crews battled a blaze that broke out in a tractor-trailer Friday afternoon on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Bensalem, authorities said.
