Know This Car? Driver Sought For Hit-Run Near Pottstown Officials are searching for the driver who crashed into a mailbox in North Coventry Township last week and then fled the scene.  The hit-and-run happened on the 500 block of West Cedarville Drive around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 21, authorities said.  Police said the suspect vehicle is a red Jeep Compass and will likely have damage on the passenger side from the crash.  Anyone who can identify the car's owner is asked to call North Coventry Police Department at 610-323-8360 or submit an anonymous tip online via Crimewatch.

Body Of Missing Woman Pulled From Schuylkill River: Police The body of a missing woman was pulled from the Schuylkill River on Monday, authorities said. The 20-year-old woman, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was last seen leaving her home in the 200 block of Coyne Alley in North Coventry around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, local police said. Police searched the area but were unable to immediately locate her. The next morning, they obtained surveillance video from local businesses that showed her walking by herself near River Road and South York Street. She is then last seen walking down the bank to the Schuylkill River, police said.…

Getaway Driver Takes Guilty Plea In ChesCo Home Invasion Murder Of Teen Boy A Berks County man took a guilty plea in the Chester County home invasion murder of a teenage boy, authorities announced Thursday. Jonathan Malave, 36, of Reading, pled guilty to third-degree murder, robbery, and conspiracy to commit robbery for his role in the killing of 17-year-old David Doyle III in Pottstown, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. Malave drove the car carrying two of three co-defendants after the murder, authorities said. North Coventry PD Seeks Minivan Wanted In Hit-Run Crash Police in North Coventry are attempting to track down a minivan they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash. A man was caught on surveillance footage getting into a maroon-colored van -- possibly a Toyota Sienna -- around 5:55 p.m. Friday, North Coventry police said. The man then backed into a parked car at the Flag Ship Cinema (650 W. Schuylkill Rd.), inspected the damage and drove away,  authorities said.
