Katty Campos Crash: Adan Ortiz-Gonzalez Charged, DA Says
A Norristown man faces homicide by vehicle charges for the Feb. 26 crash that killed Katty Campos, said the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office. Adan Ortiz-Gonzalez, 18, is also accused of involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment, said prosecutors in a release. Investigators said Ortiz-Gonzalez was going 60 in a 25mph zone when he T-boned Campos' car at the corner of East Brown and Dekalb streets. An off-duty police officer was airlifted to a local hospital after being shot while attempting to resolve an argument in Norristown Wednesday morning, authorities said. Anthony Marano, a West Norriton Township Police Department officer, was driving down East Airy Street and Dekalb Street in his personal car around 9:50 a.m. when he noticed a "black male arguing with a black female," according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
