Two Rescued From Burning Allentown Home: Officials

Two people were injured after being rescued from a burning single-family home in Allentown on Friday, Sept. 23, officials said.

First responders were called to the detached house on the 700 block of East Tilghman Street around 5 a.m. on a report of a garage fire with residents trapped, Allentown fire officials said.

Two people were rescued from the home and brought to an area hospital for treatment, the department said. The victims have yet to be identified, but are in stable condition, 6abc reports.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the local fire marshal's office.
